🍷 1.9 Tdi Vs 2.0 Tdi Reliability
The130/150 varient has a variable geometry turbo to reduce turbo lag. The 2.0 TDI is a development of the 1.9 block, but had to be done because the 1.9 is a very slow revving engine and won't meet forthcoming regulations in super tuned format hence the slow disappearance of 1.9TDI 130/150 block cars.
12 Volkswagen 1.6 TDI CR Engine. The 1.6 TDI, the successor to the iconic 1.9 TDI engine, belongs to the EA189 family – the same as the famous 2.0 TDI PD engine. However, there is nothing to worry about. Diesel 1.6 TDI is not a capricious engine injector also has a Common Rail type power supply and has basically no drawbacks.
19 TDI PD vs 1.6 TDI CR. I had opportunity to drive Leon MK2 with both engines 1.9 TDI (PD with 105hp) and 1.6 TDI (CR with 105hp). Although both engines have totally different specification on the paper, from fuel injection to fuel consumption, while I was driving didn't notice any special difference exept that 1.9 TDI is quite noisier.
VWTDI Discussion Areas. General VW Discussion. Dr. Diesel Speaks Out: 1.9 vs. 2.0. Thread starter dieseldorf; Start date Jul 25, 2004; dieseldorf Top Post Dawg.
Asabsurd as it may sound, we have observed 1.9s at distances of between 250,000 and 300,000 miles and one at little over 400,000 miles. Not all VW 1.9 TDI vehicles will last
2 1.8T. VW has been using turbos for its gas and diesel engines for years. One of its most ubiquitous engines installed in its cars starting in 1997 is the 1.8T, which can be found in many cars
Nodifference on internal or external spec. Manual gearbox is 5 speed on the 1.6TDi and 6 speed on the 2.0TDi. Auto gearbox is 7 speed dry clutch DQ200 on the 1.6TDi and 6 speed wet clutch DQ250 on the 2.0TDi. The gearbox difference alone make the 2.0TDi a better option. Posted 14 August, 2019.
The1.9 is sounding more like what I want, reliable, economical slogger that'll happily cruse at 80ish mph. Octy II 2.0 TDI after 6 years and 92k miles Year: 2020 Share; Posted 21 December, 2012. I had the same dilemma in 2008 when buying new. I drove both on 20 mile test runs. No contest - I bought the 2.0TDI. The 1.9 was slow and at 80mph
The1.9-litre TDI's combined consumption figure of 53.3mpg means affordable fuel bills. All models fulfil EURO 4 emissions criteria and the 1.9-litre TDI, for example, has a VED
Thissame fuel will load up your diesel particulate filter to no end in city driving. The 3rd generation TDI Touareg with the 8 speed transmission is a model of efficiency, if driven properly for MPG. However, if you use the acceleration it is capable of, be prepared for a huge hit in fuel economy.
Whenan engine can produce more than 200 HP without any modifications, you can tell that it is a good one. Well, that is the case with the 3.0 TDI engine from Volkswagen and Audi, which can output 205 HP and a very impressive 332 lb. ft of torque. Although the engine is quite reliable, there are some issues that users face while driving it.
Itis bigger, it has 4 valves per cylinder instead of 2, it has a high tech Common Rail fuel injection system, etc. Reliability – The 1.9 is a tried and true design,
